Like I mentioned before, I am planning to scout a new area for the spring season this year. We plan on hunting in the Gila Wilderness Area which is a pretty big place. Everything I have read about hunting in the Gila is good. I was hunting deer on the southern border of the wilderness area and was very impressed with what I saw for turkey sign. The turkeys should be in their first nesting next week when we are scouting, so there should be a lot of gobbling going on if there are turkeys around. It would be great if I could bring home a turkey this year because I will have my kids on Easter Sunday the day after I get back from hunting. I would love to cook a fresh wild turkey Easter dinner for my kids.

This sport is fun, tough and full of beautiful women. Just kidding about the women part, I have seen a total of two women in the turkey woods. If you are a woman and are reading this good for you. We need more of you out there. The whole point of my blog is to get all of you men, women and children to get out in the wild, love it and build a conservation ethic.
